Women Connect and Be.Bendigo are proud to bring one of Australia’s most influential and courageous voices to Bendigo for International Women’s Day 2026.This special event will feature an in-conversation with Grace Tame, offering our regional community a rare opportunity to engage with a speaker more often seen on major city stages.
Named Australian of the Year in 2021, Grace Tame is a survivor-advocate, bestselling author, columnist, and founder of the Grace Tame Foundation. Her leadership in overturning Tasmania’s gag laws sparked national reform and reshaped conversations around justice, child safety, neurodiversity, and systemic change. Grace is widely respected for her ability to challenge audiences with clarity, compassion, and conviction.
This event represents a significant moment for our region, reinforcing Women Connect and Be.Bendigo’s commitment to equity, empowerment, and ensuring regional communities have access to world-class speakers and conversations.
