Alham Saadat is a scientist, ethicist, and community leader with over 20 years of multidisciplinary experience in biomedical research across industry and academia. She spent five years as a Senior Research Associate in Melina Claussnitzer’s group at the Broad before transitioning in 2021 to the Office of Culture and Community, where she serves as the Associate Director of Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications (ELSI) in Research. As the co-founder and co-director of the Broad Bioethics Initiative, she is dedicated to fostering ethical engagement across the institute. Committed to advancing biomedical research, she works to maximize its impact on patient outcomes, particularly for underserved communities.
