About this Event
Ayurveda is an ancient system of healing that originates from India, deeply rooted in vedic wisdom and practiced for thousands of years. As we share this class, we want to acknowledge and honor the cultural traditions and indigenous knowledge from which Ayurveda comes. Rebecca has studied this wisdom with deep respect, and our goal today is to present their teachings while encouraging further learning from authentic voices within the tradition.
Seasonal Ayurvedic Practices for Nourishment & Lifestyle
Those of living in the Northeast experience a significant shift in nature’s elements at this time of year. Moving from the deep Winter to early Spring can be a notable experience for many, commonly bringing about head colds, allergies, brain fog, and an overall feeling of sluggishness. The ancient health and health science of Ayurveda offers intuitive tips and tools to adjust our lifestyle in ways that can support a graceful transition from the harsh elements of deep winter to the nourishing elements of spring. Making small shifts in our routines, activities, and food choice can ward off the common imbalances described above. Simple practices can harness the “new life” energy that comes with warmer temps and longer daylight.
