Women & Diakonia 2: a Global Perspective Following the October Synod
Following the great success of the Women & Diakonia conference last year, the topic of a proper ecclesial context for women’s ministry in the Church remains urgent. Timed to respond to the Rome synod meetings held during October, speakers will include Prof Bernard Pottier SJ, and Dr Souraya Bechealany, who will bring an Eastern Catholic perspective. The day will culminate with the annual Mary Ward lecture given by expert theologian on women and the diaconate, Prof Phyllis Zagano. There will be plenty of time for synodal discussion among the participants.
