🎭 The Woman on the Train with a Dark Blue Handbag – Theatre LATiBergen (Norway)

This year, the theatre LATiBergen will present an almost one-woman show “The Woman on the Train with a Dark Blue Handbag”, written by Biruta Zujāne.
It’s early morning. A railway station. A woman buys a handbag, boards a train, and leaves. Leaves others. Leaves her exhaustion. Returns to herself.
This is a story about a woman who is tired of being strong — about a person learning how to breathe again.
It’s about leaving — not as an escape, but as a way to return.
The performance explores burnout, silence, and courage — and the journey of learning to listen to oneself in a world that constantly demands more.
“The Woman on the Train with a Dark Blue Handbag” is a tribute to all the women who were once humble but found their voices again.
Because sometimes, to come home, you first have to leave.
