Wolves Creative Nights: Our Story on Paper
Free community creative evenings in Wolverhampton
Wolves Creative Nights is a series of relaxed, welcoming creative sessions for people living in Wolverhampton who want to share stories and make art together.
This project is especially reaching out to people from Heath Town, Blakenhall, All Saints, and surrounding neighbourhoods — areas where many cultures, languages, and life experiences come together — but everyone is welcome.
You don’t need to be an artist.
You don’t need to have any creative experience.
You don’t need to share anything personal unless you want to.
What will we be doing?
Across the sessions, we’ll be working together on large rolls of paper, using:
- Drawing
- Writing
- Collage
- Conversation and reflection
Participants will be invited to explore ideas of identity, heritage, memory, and place, creating a shared artwork that reflects the diversity of Wolverhampton.
You can take part in whatever way feels comfortable — whether that’s actively making, chatting, or simply being present.
Who is this for?
- People living in Wolverhampton
- Long-time residents and people who have moved here more recently
- People from many backgrounds and cultures
- Anyone curious about creativity, storytelling, or community
The space is designed to be friendly, inclusive, and low-pressure, particularly for people who may not usually take part in arts activities.

About the facilitator
The sessions are led by Giovanni “Gio” Uche, a Wolverhampton-based multidisciplinary artist whose work explores identity, belonging, and collective memory through community-led art projects.
