The best word to describe Wolvennest's music: occult. Each live show is a transcending experience for their audience as well as their members.
Far from the modern world, Wolvennest developed a following the ancient way, with strong trippy albums and solid live experiences evoking chaos, light and darkness.
While the collective already performed at mythic festivals (Desertfest, Roadburn, Hellfest) and the very best of the occult locations (House of the Holy, Chaos Descend, Ascension), its appetite for trippy performances is stronger than ever.
The 6 musicians are looking forward to their coming experiences with a new album full of weird synths, hypnotic guitars and strong emotions invoked through Shazzula's voice.
Wolvennest is back with a double LP: Procession.
Those who follow the occult music scene will know what to expect: a strange blend of psych/doom with a touch of the darkness found in black metal. Massive guitars, synths/mellotrons, melancholic yet oppressive atmospheres, all wrapped in Shazzula’s haunting vocals and theremin, lead a bizarre ceremony reflecting the consequences of a dark journey—one that ends in death and apocalypse.
Procession also marks the first collaboration between Wolvennest and the Belgian label Consouling Sounds. Mostly self-recorded, and mixed/mastered by long-time producer Déhà at Blackout Studios, this fifth album features artwork by Arts of Maquenda, who also created the Temple artwork in 2020.
Speaking of tradition, as always, Wolvennest welcomes guest appearances—this time featuring Hekte Zaren, the enigmatic voice behind black metal’s best-kept secret: Adaestuo.
Sects, curses, death rituals, and psychotropics create an eerie atmosphere, showing that the band is ready for another decade of sonic exploration, enhanced in live performances by surreal projections.
Procession describes a world where the cross is inverted, and portals constantly open, granting access to the invisible realm and to one’s other self.

Opium Heathen is a Belgian Heavy Rock / Doom band hailing from Antwerp, Belgium. Drawing inspiration from the occult and the raw power of obscure 70’s rock, their sound blends Doomy riffs, groovy rhythms and hard hitting drums at an unrelenting volume.

AUFHEBUNG
This Brussels-based band draws from contemporary acts in post-rock and doom metal, but also noise rock, hardcore and progressive music. It transforms these influences by injecting walloping arrangements, impactful contrasts, destabilizing rhythms and crushing noise into the canvas.
Often described as filmic, atmospheric and reflective, AUFHEBUNG takes you on a drive past the scenic and the not-so-scenic route of the psyche.
They debuted with the full length 'Chasms' in 2020. Recording, mix and mastering were done in Hasselt (BE) at the Farrm studios by technician Jan Viggria (The Guru Guru, Statue,...).
The five-piece tries to push boundaries live and work with extremities on several levels. This is exemplified in the homage to pure slowness, a deliberate attack on groove, harmonic disarray and a favor for ear-piercing, god-defying, distorted grit.
