Personal healing has a ripple effect on the broader area and world 🌊
By actively participating in this event, you are contributing to a collective sense of harmony and improvement in WNC and the world as a whole. As author Mark Nepo put it: "When we heal ourselves, we heal the world. For as the body is only as healthy as its individual cells, the world is only as healthy as its individual souls". And there's no better time or way to heal than in community!
Breathwork: It's simple, yet powerful medicine for healing, restoration, and long term resilience.
During this event, you'll reduce stress and enhance your overall well-being for greater resilience using your breath. Breathwork is an easy-to-learn, simple yet highly effective tool you can use to change how you feel and show up in the world: a way to access the full potential of your respiratory (breathing) system and yourself to tranform your life and energy. At its core, breathwork is a self-care tool with many benefits.
As human beings, we hold onto trauma, tension, stress, and past experiences within our bodies that effect our wellness. The saying "breath is medicine" reflects the concept that consciously breathing with intention (noticing your breath and purposely changing how you're breathing for a period of time- aka breathwork) can have profound, positive effects on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
The style of breathwork you'll be guided through uses a circular, conscious-connected three part breathing pattern that will leave you feeling lighter, calmer, more at peace, energized, and grounded. There are many similar, but different styles of this particular type of breathwork.
Healing Benefits
To experience it is to believe it. Many describe their experience as mind-blowing, life-altering (in a good way!), or better than therapy. Potential benefits include:
- Stress and anxiety relief
- Better sleep and mood
- Increased energy and stamina
- Improved concentration and thinking
- Decreased burnout, frustration, and overwhelm
- Increased optimism, compassion, and joy
- Decreased pain and inflammation
- Found clarity, meaning, and purpose
- Improved overall well-being and peace of mind
- A deepened connection with yourself and others
- Strengthened immune system functioning
- And so much more...
This won't be your typical meditation, yoga, or breathing class. We'll be doing deep, transformational breathing that will get you out of your head and reconnected with yourself and your body to heal and breathe out stress, anxiety, overwhelm, self-criticism and whatever else might be weighing you down (ie: sadness, anger, grief, disappointment, doubt, stuckness) and make room for more peace, calm, clarity, and joy within.
