Join BikePGH’s Women and Non-Binary Program for an all trail no-drop bike ride! 🚲 Date: Saturday, July 13, 2024
🚲 Time: Meet at 11am, pedal at 11:15am. Ride should end around 1pm.
🚲 RIDE DETAILS: 8 mile loop with 180 feet of elevation change. It is completely on a riverfront trail and almost entirely flat! This would be a great ride to come to if you are just getting into riding, want to ride with your kids, or are just looking for a casual, social group ride. Route details are here.

Want to ride an Adaptive POGOH? Reserve a bike by emailing [email protected]. Reservations are first come, first served. If you do not require an Adaptive POGOH, please reserve rentals for those who do. Any leftover Adaptive Bikes will be available to test at the ride. 🚲 Ride pace: We ride at a pace of 6-8 miles per hour. This is a no-drop ride, meaning no one will be left behind, and we will frequently regroup. There will be a ride leader, sweep, and marshals to ensure the group stays together and is safe.
🚲 Requirements: Be sure to do a bike safety check before heading out with the ABC Quick Check (bikepgh.org/2019/02/13/video-how-to-do-an-abc-quick-check/)
🚲 Rides will happen rain, snow, or shine! Lightning / thunder / blizzard or other extreme weather will result in the ride being canceled.

If you've been waiting for the chance to get active on two wheels with a group of friendly and welcoming cyclists, these rides are the ticket for you. BikePGH’s Women and Non-Binary Program is inclusive of trans and cis women, intersex people, non-binary, genderqueer, agender and gender variant folks, as well as those whose gender identity falls outside of the dominant conceptions of gender. The program encourages conversation and spaces to come together over biking, advocacy and related topics while increasing representation of people who have historically marginalized gender identities.
We aim to create a safer space where people can speak and move freely expressing themselves authentically without added fear of microaggressions and discrimination due to gender and expression. By opening the discussion about our lived experiences and challenges, we can assess how to better provide support and resources to ride bikes and increase mobility in Pittsburgh.
