Join WMAS as we explore Forest Home Cemetery. This beautiful and historic cemetery has offered up some fabulous birds in the past! We will slowly walk 1.5-2 miles. Expect paved paths, some walking in grass, small hills. We are usually there a couple of hours. All experience levels welcome - bring binoculars if you have them, we have a limited number of loaners available.Parking: Enter at one of the gates (main one off Lincoln Ave. or side one at Forest Home Ave). You will be heading to the old chapel and parking on the road behind the chapel or along the road coming in from Forest Home (behind the buildings). Please don’t park in front of the office building or mausoleum as that’s reserved for funerals.
NOTE: The office does not open until 10, so no bathroom facilities will be available until the end of the walk.

Forest Home is open daily to the public from dawn to dusk. Walkers, joggers, bicycles, leashed dogs and picnickers are welcome, as long as they are respectful of all burial sites, memorials and mounds.
Each year, they host public and private historical and nature-based tours, field trips and teen programs, plus signature community events: Memorial Day, Doors Open, Dia de los Muertos 5K & Festival, and the Shakespeare Festival.
