Curated by Gainesville songwriter Jordan Burchel, With Everything Going On is both a festival and the official release show for his new record of the same name. Featuring local and regional artists Nick Lutsko String Band, The Nancys, Lauris Vidal, Spencer Thomas, Morningbell, Lauren Woodall, and more, the event brings together a community of voices shaped by this place and moment.WEGO, both the album and festival, came from the tension of making art in a chaotic, heavy world. The festival holds space for the doubt that creativity means much against the weight of everything, and the equally strong pull to show up, create, and share with our community.
WEGO is an invitation to sit with that contradiction, to feel, and to let whatever catharsis we build together become the ground for meaningful participation in the world.
Also, and this goes without saying, there will be face melting guitar solos, beers, and also not beers.
