On Saturday, April 4th, Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area's Wish It Forward alumni program is hosting a playground meetup at Mia's Dream Come True Park in Hayward. Mia's Park was sparked by a wish from a wish kid named Mia, who wished for an accessible park to play in.If you have never been to Mia's Park before, it is a large, fun park for kids of all abilities. They have accessible features including a swing for kids in wheelchairs, swings where kids can lay down, a quiet space for kids who are overstimulated, and more. Make-A-Wish will provide coffee, donuts, and juice boxes. You can bring your own picnic, water, and snacks for your kids.
Come meet other wish families who have been through the challenges of having a kid with a critical illness. Everyone is welcome! Feel free to bring friends and family members, whether or not they are connected with Make-A-Wish. Come make new friends with our alumni community!
