Join us for our 2026 Scholarship Dinner (location TBD) at 6pm to celebrate the recipients of this year's WISE Scholarships! Each scholarship recipient is welcome to invite a plus one at no charge! We will talk a bit about these lovely individuals and their bright futures.Shortly afterwards, we will quickly install the new executive board for the 2026-2027 year and induct any new members of WISE.
Please note that this is our only PRIVATE meeting for the entire year, so only organization members, scholarship recipients and their plus ones are invited to attend this event. Please join us this summer for our Women Supporting Women Campaign at local women-owned businesses if you would like to learn more about WISE (formally known as IFBW and BPW).
About the WISE scholarship application process:
The WISE scholarship application closes every March 31st at 11:59pm. Applicants receive a request by email in mid-to-late April to sign up for an interview time slot. If an individual does not sign up for a time slot, their application is immediately rejected. Applicants are interviewed one at a time by the scholarship committee and then those candidates are blind ranked by each member of the committee. This means after all interviews are complete, each committee member does not discuss their personal opinions with the committee and privately scores each applicant. The rankings are then totaled, and the scholarship committee discusses and provides a recommendation on how many scholarships they think should be awarded and at what amounts. This recommendation is provided to the WISE organization members to discuss and vote on. The results will then be emailed to each applicant in early May and celebrated at both the THS Scholarship Night and the WISE Scholarship Dinner!
