We'll engage with an inspiring panel conversation featuring veteran small business owners who have transformed military leadership experience into successful civilian enterprises. During National Small Business Week, these accomplished entrepreneurs will share how service shaped their approach to leadership, innovation, and community impact. Panelists will discuss lessons learned transitioning from military to business ownership, building resilient teams, overcoming challenges, and identifying opportunities for growth. This conversation is designed to offer practical insight, encouragement, and connection for entrepreneurs, business supporters, and community leaders alike.
The session will include the presentation of the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐒𝐁𝐀 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐭𝐚 𝐕𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝, recognizing excellence in entrepreneurship.
Celebrating National Small Business Week, SD CEO West and SBA will recognize their hard work, ingenuity, dedication, and their contributions to the economy and panelists will share their journey transitioning from military service to business ownership.

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬:
𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢 𝐄𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐭, 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐟𝐞 - 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐡: Kelli went to Texas Christian University on an Army ROTC scholarship graduating in 1997 and serving as a Nurse Corp Officer from 1997-2005 and has lived in Spearfish since 2008. Kelli has been in the Nursing profession for the last 30+ years. Currently, Kelli is the owner of Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Spearfish and also recently purchased Peak IV Infusion and Wellness Clinic in December 2025. In addition to owning and running two local businesses, Kelli is a volunteer as an RN with Good Shepherd Clinic in Spearfish. She also fulfills the duties of an RN phlebotomist part time with APPS Paramedical Associates and the Lawrence County Sheriffs office.
𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐧, 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧: Stephanie Holman is the President and CEO of FourFront Design, Inc., a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and Women-Owned small business headquartered in Rapid City, South Dakota. She is a proud 21-year United States Air Force. Today, she leads a team of 46 professionals across 14 states, delivering architecture, landscape architecture, mechanical and electrical engineering, interior design, planning, and project management services. Stephanie remains committed to empowering veterans, advancing opportunities for women and service-disabled entrepreneurs, and delivering solutions that strengthen communities nationwide.
𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢k𝐚 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫, 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝: Monika, a USAF Retiree, is living her best life as an owner/operations manager and yoga instructor at Timber Ridge Campground in Keystone, SD. When the summer camping season is over, she turns her focus back to teaching yoga to the Custer High School wrestling program and sports super-fan of her 3 sons.
𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢 𝐑𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫, 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨: Billi Raker is a 22-year industry veteran and accomplished business owner with a passion for service, leadership, and community impact. She is the co-owner of Amazing Lash Studio locations in Rapid City and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where she has helped build high-performing teams and deliver exceptional client experiences in the beauty and wellness space. With over two decades of professional experience, Billi brings a strong background in operations, customer service, and team development. Her leadership style emphasizes accountability, positivity, and creating opportunities for others to grow.

Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. We’ll kick off the WIN with early networking and breakfast, awarding the SBA South Dakota Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year award, our panel discussion, and end with our 30-second speed networking, and time to continue networking after concluding the program.
