This month, we’re excited to welcome Jonathan, who will be breaking down important FinCEN compliance updates and what they mean for your real estate transactions. Stay informed, stay protected, and stay ahead of the changes impacting our industry.
Jonathan currently serves as the Deputy Regional Underwriting Counsel for the Midwest and Wisconsin State Underwriting Counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company. He is an active member of Stewart’s Senior Underwriting, Indian Lands, and Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Committees, contributing to complex and evolving areas of the business.
Prior to joining Stewart, Jonathan practiced law as a second-generation partner at Sayas, Schmuki, Rondini & Plum, S.C. in southeast Wisconsin.
He is a regular contributor to several industry education programs and serves as an instructor for the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association’s continuing education classes and the Wisconsin Land Title Association’s examiner and graduate courses. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Land Title Association and the Wisconsin REALTORS® Foundation.
Since his appointment in 2013, he has also served as a member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Forms Advisory Committee for the State of Wisconsin. Jonathan previously served as Past-President of the Wisconsin Land Title Association (2024–2025).
Jonathan is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and the United States District Court — Eastern District of Wisconsin. He earned his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law and his B.A. in General Business from the University of Wisconsin — Whitewater.
