Wisbech Radicals
This event is part of the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 6 - 15 November 2025. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
Supported by the Open University, we are excited to be taking part in the Being Human Festival this year!
Come join us for an afternoon filled with talks, discussions, and activities celebrating the history of radicalism in Wisbech. From (non?)political movements to social change, this event will explore the stories of those who challenged the status quo and fought for a better future. Whether you're a history buff or just curious about the town's past, this event is sure to enlighten and inspire. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn and engage with the rich history of Wisbech! Starting at 1pm at the Clarkson Memorial, then to Octavia Hill Birthplace House at 2pm.
