Wired to Connect: The Neuroscience of Communication and The Impact of Our Words
It’s not what you say, but how you say it. How often have you heard that phrase? It might be over-familiar, but it’s well-used because it’s true. The way we speak is arguably more important than what we say, and research suggests that 9 out of 10 conversations actually fail.
In this interactive presentation we lean heavily on emerging neuroscientific research on the impact of words on our brains and bodies. We will identify the three levels of conversation we are likely to encounter regularly in the workplace, whether that workplace is in an office or virtually. We will learn how to use all 3 levels to elevate the quality of conversations we have every day. This science-based methodology shifts conversations that trigger defensiveness and fear to conversations that build healthy, productive, and extraordinary results.
