About this Event

This two-part workshop explores the science and practice of co-regulation and interdependence through the lens of the nervous system.

In Part One, we’ll unpack how our bodies lead in connection and how we instinctively attune, protect, or withdraw based on internal states. Through psychoeducation and gentle embodiment exercises, participants will gain tools to recognize their own regulation patterns and cues.

Together, we’ll hold space for the truth that while self-awareness matters, we regulate best in connection. Blending neuroscience, relational insight, and body-based practices to support grounded leadership, relational attunement, and compassionate interdependence.

Part Two will be offered on Thursday, January 22, 2025 from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm. While participation in each session is not mandatory, it is greatly encouraged to gain the full benefit of the series.

Facilitator: Alysha Allen

Alysha has always felt a deep calling to support others in their healing and growth. With a background in Health Sciences and Psychology from Western University and over a decade of experience in wellness, trauma integration, and community programming, her approach is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and practicality.

Currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Alysha works from a trauma-informed, integrative lens that honours both the nervous system and the human story. She pays particular attention to relational dynamics and the systems we live within—whether family, community, or culture—recognizing that healing occurs through connection.

Whether in individual sessions or group facilitation, Alysha’s focus is to support clients in reconnecting with their inner resourcefulness and embodied sense of wholeness. Grounded in somatic awareness and nervous system care, she aims to create a space where clients can feel more at home within themselves and move toward meaningful, sustainable change.
