Join the Reserve Education staff for a peaceful afternoon on the Black River at Peter’s Creek. As we paddle upstream with the tide, we’ll explore the rich natural history of this unique ecosystem—learning about native plants, wildlife, and the vital role these waterways play in our community.
We’ll also be joined by special guest paddlers: Erin Donmoyer, Black/Sampit Riverkeeper, who will share insights on conservation and river stewardship, and TL Staub, Trails Coordinator with Georgetown County Parks and Recreation.
This trip is timed to coincide with the beautiful Mountain Laurel bloom.
Participants must provide their own kayak, paddle, life jacket, and whistle. This program is designed for experienced paddlers ages 18 and up.
Once registered, you will receive an email a few days before the trip with additional details.
