About this Event
We open our program with the luscious Serenade for Strings by Josef Suk, written at the behest of his mentor, Antonín Dvořák. After intermission, we present the gorgeous Adagio pour quatuor d'orchestre by the all-but-forgotten Belgian composer Guillaume Lekeu. We then pick up the tempo with Astor Piazzolla's rousing Invierno Porteño (Winter in Buenos Aires). We top off our evening with a charming Serenade by Vasily Kalinikov.
