About this Event
Wintering Well walks from the library
Spending time outside in the light can help when you experience low mood over winter, or Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). This hour-long walk is an opportunity to spend time walking together outside talking about creative ways to respond to winter’s challenges.
The walk will be followed by an indoor social in the warmth of the library where there will be hot drinks and refreshments. This will also be an opportunity to look at a Wintering Well book and other support materials developed by researchers at the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Wintering Well walks will be held at Milngavie Library and Kirkintilloch (William Patrick) Library each month during the winter. Individual registration pages will be available to sign-up for each walk.
Do please bring suitable footwear and warm, showerproof clothing.
These walks are part of a wider project enabling the loan of unique Wintering Well boxes from East Dunbartonshire Libraries, in partnership with the Universities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. Find out more about our new Wintering Well box library loans via the exhibitions in the libraries!
