ABOUT THE EVENTEmbrace the bare beauty of the colder months on our Winter Trees Walk. Discover how to identify trees in their winter splendour, whilst admiring their seasonal forms, and discover how our local trees adapt and survive through winter.
Wrap up warm and join our knowledgeable guides from Wild Intrigue for this slow-paced exploration of Gateshead Riverside Park to learn how to spot different tree species by their bark, buds and branch structure, and gain insights into the unique characteristics of winter trees.
This event is a great way to explore and connect with the wonders of winter wildlife, meet fellow nature lovers, and deepen your understanding of the Gateshead Riverside Park - even when it's a bit chilly!
At the end of the walk you can enjoy a 'winter warmer' of hot chocolate, tea or coffee while continuing discussions at St Mary's Heritage Centre.
