Join us at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music for a day of interactive workshops, practical tips, and round-table discussions led by inspiring facilitators. Designed for both experienced and early-career secondary music teachers, the day will focus on inclusive approaches to all musical genres, acknowledging unconscious bias, and celebrating the diverse musical heritage of all teachers and learners. Skilled practitioners will lead panel and round-table discussions and various carousels, including:
- Teaching music of black & global majority origin
- Supporting students from diverse backgrounds
- Boosting your singing repertoire
- Removing barriers to improvisation
- Music, Heritage, Place & inspiriations for songwriting (Nancy Kerr)
- Compositional Techniques (Christopher Tarrant and Natalie Wild)
The event costs £65 per person, including lunch and refreshments, supported by Music Partnership North Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Sunderland Music Education Hubs. Don’t miss this chance to connect with fellow teachers and gain valuable classroom insights.
