Join Martin Kitching, coordinator of the North East Cetacean Project, for a talk on his work identifying seabirds and cetaceans.Join Berwickshire Marine Reserve for our Winter Talk Series as we bring experts from various marine-based backgrounds to share their knowledge and expertise with you. These events are free to attend, but donations are gladly received to allow us to continue providing educational opportunities to the local community.
This talk will look at how we track individual birds and cetaceans: bird ringing (focused on Kittiwakes), and cetacean fin ID covering White-beaked and Bottlenose Dolphins in NE England, Killer Whales in the Northern Isles, and Humpback Whales in Iceland.
This talk will last for one hour, and refreshments will be available.
