STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) is a natural fit for the outdoors. You’ve heard of makerspace, now it’s time to visit NatureSpace!During this drop-in self-guided program, participants will explore how Michigan’s animals are well adapted to survive the difficult conditions of winter. Using the traits of these amazing animals as inspiration, participants will design and craft a gelatin creature from the materials in CNC’s NatureSpace classroom. After completion, the prototypes will be moved outdoors for testing. Will they survive winter? Come explore, make, and learn in this hands-on, minds-on winter survival STEM challenge! Meet at the Visitor Center.
