"Starting OCTOBER 12th, 2025 we are going to have an Irish (Celtic) Session on the SECOND SUNDAY of each month from 2-4 P.M. at MI Element Grains and Grounds in Midland, MI. This will be a traditional session primarily playing sets of Jigs, Reels, Hornpipes, Polkas, Waltzes, Airs, (and an occasional Barndance or Strathspey) at reasonable speed. Given interest, we may also schedule a slow learning session at another time of the month.
ALL ARE INVITED TO COME PARTICIPATE OR LISTEN!
Please note, however, that instruments typically played at Celtic Trad sessions include Fiddle, Flute, Whistle, Guitar, Mandolin, Bouzouki, 4 string Banjo, Harp, Accordion, and Bodhran (or Bones) and tunes are usually played in the keys of G, D, or A.
