It's deep in midwinter, and nature's energy has been drawn down into the earth. We huddle closer to our hearth fires and make our medicines to keep us healthy over winter. Our kitchen cupboard spices of Cardamon and Cinnamon can really come into their own here and it is no accident that they form part of our winter cuisine and drinks. They are not only great medicine for the immune system and respiratory tract but are excellent digestive tonics too and bring a little more spice to dark winter evenings with their traditional use as aphrodisiacs. This class explores their use as medicine and how we can use them, through guided tastings that allow us to connect to these powerful medicines. We will also be making some healing drinks can be made in the kitchen.
