About your Host Amanda
You will have exclusive access to the teaching of Amanda Hartzler Ferris, a highly experienced and professional yoga teacher with 25 years of daily practice and 20 years of professional teaching experience.
Amanda is recognised as a senior teacher by Yoga Australia and runs a vibrant Ashtanga yoga school and community in Melbourne, Australia, where all students are taught individually in a group setting.
She offers skilled and articulate guidance to a wide range of individuals, of all ages, stages, and stations in life.
Her primary yoga practice and teaching is in the Ashtanga tradition, however Amanda also uses yogasana for rest, restoration and therapy and freely shares this approach when appropriate.
Whether you are new to yoga, or a seasoned practitioner, you can expect wise direction and insight from Amanda whilst you are on retreat at Summer House.

Join Amanda Hartzler Ferris and friends for a quiet weekend away from the city.
The winter solstice is the perfect time to rest and reflect, gathering energy and setting intentions as light begins its return to the Southern hemisphere.
You can look forward to candlelit pranayama, Ashtanga yoga, Yin and Restorative yoga sessions, a guided nature walk, evening fire gazing (weather allowing), and delicious meals cooked by Italian plant-based chef, Isabel Ometto.
Our beautiful venue can accommodate up to 8 guests in four, twin-share rooms.
Rooms can be configured to suit couples upon request.
A warm and cozy onsite yoga studio will hold our intimate classes of up to only 11 students.
You do not need any experience practicing yoga to join our retreat. Beginners are very welcome.
