Escape the holiday crowds and spend the short daylight hours hiking in the BRP with our ambassadors. Enjoy the quiet solitude and bug free trails as we hike through our winter wonderland. Our trails have hard and soft sand, slight elevations, roots, and stumps and some wet areas. We will be hiking 3-3.5 miles in two hours with some stops. Porta Potty is available at the beginning and end of hike.
DATE: Sunday, December 22, 2024
TIME: 10:00am to 12:00pm (Meet at the welcome table at 9:30 am to check in.
WHERE TO MEET: Kettle Run Road East Trailhead Entrance. This is the main trailhead for Black Run Preserve.
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress with layers for the weather and bring a water bottle. Protect yourself from the sun, bugs, and cold.Hiking boots, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended.
DETAILS: This is a social/informational hike to familiarize participants with the trails of the Black Run Preserve and the Friends of the Black Run Preserve community.
