About this Event
Join Artemisia Nursery on Saturday Dec. 13th and Sunday Dec. 14th for a free Winter gathering. Activities include native plant wreath making, native food tasting and creating native seed stocking stuffers.
Stations will include:
- Sample Toyon Cider, Mesquite Cookies and get free recipe cards
- Hand make your own native holiday wreath with materials from our garden or bring some from your own garden to share with your community!
- Make your own Native Seed Stocking Stuffers with seed from plants that thrive locally
Please read all details below to ensure the best possible expereince for all:
This event will take place in one-hour blocks to help control flow (feel free to arrive anytime during the one hour block you are registering for)
Sat. Dec 13th @1pm, 2pm and 3pm
Sun. Dec 14th @ 1pm, 2pm and 3pm
Register for whichever one hour block works best for you - please make sure to register each person who you plan to bring. We can only guarantee materials for folks who have registered (thanks for understanding!).
We'd also like to request that if you have any native plant materials that are useful for holiday wreaths, please bring them along or drop them off at the nursery a day or two before hand. Materials can include but aren't limited to:
- White Sage stems (from garden plants only, do not wild harvest)
- Dry flower heads of various buckwheats
- Clusters of Toyon berries
- Flower buds of Lemonade Berry or Sugar Bush
- Decorative grass seed heads (Deergrass, Purple Three-awn, etc)
- Stems of Redwood, Redbud, etc (feel free to call or email with questions).
Native seed stocking stuffers provided (limit three per participant) - includes envelope, decorating materials, and seeds (pre-mixed wildflower mix or create your own mix).
