About this Event
Join us for "Ancestral Abundance: Winter Garden Kickoff & Cultural Soil Prep," a special event connecting beautification with the rich cultural practice of preparing the land for abundance. This kickoff will feature hands-on community garden preparation, a "Soil Health and Compost Workshop," and an "Ancestral Seeds" art sketching session. You'll also participate in a "Planting with the Elders" workshop focused on winter gardening techniques, the official launch of our Neighborhood Garden Circles and Tool Lending Library, and a "Trading Post" for seed and plant exchange. The event culminates in a "Winter Harvest Tasting" prepared by local Black chefs, accompanied by cultural storytelling or music.
