About this Event
Think everything goes quiet in winter? Join our rangers for a relaxed guided walk through Canford Heath Nature Reserve and discover what’s still active beneath the bare branches and through the crisp air.
We’ll explore the landscape, keeping an eye out for winter residents such as the elusive Dartford warblers, and learn how to identify trees even when they’ve shed their leaves along the way. You’ll also hear about the heath’s history and how it’s shaped the wildlife we see today and deepen your understanding of the landscape and its seasonal transformations.
Whether you’re a regular walker or just curious about what nature gets up to in the colder months, this is a great chance to slow down, learn something new, and enjoy the heath in a different light.
Suitable for all ages. Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. Binoculars and cameras would be a great addition if you’d like to bring them along with you.
