About this Event
ABOUT THE EVENT
We’re about to nerd out on everything related to camping out of a backpack—whether it’s late fall, early spring, or our favourite: winter camping. If you’ve been on the fence about giving it a try or just need some solid tips to go more often, we’re here to make it easier and way more fun.
Think winter camping has to be hard, cold, and expensive? Think again.
Join us for a myth-busting, gear-sharing evening (literally - we're bringing our gear) where we’ll cover:
- Gear tips for every budget
- How to lighten your load (and make your pack feel less like a boulder)
- Why winter camping doesn’t have to mean freezing your butt off
Whether you’ve never tried winter camping, you’re just starting out, or it’s your go-to adventure, this event is for you. We’ll keep it fun, informative, and practical, so you’ll walk away ready to embrace the cold.
MEET YOUR SPEAKERS
We’ve got an awesome trio ready to share their winter camping wisdom:
- Tyler Blaney - a longtime outdoors enthusiast, hunter, hiked 35 days and 850kms of the GDT, and all-around cool dude. Ty knows his way around the wilderness and will help you get your gear right without breaking your back.
- Anne Stevenson – A fast-packing, adventure-loving outdoor junkie. Anne knows how to make winter camping efficient, fun, and fast without sacrificing comfort.
- Vince Fowler – That’s me! Former infantry paratrooper, and beyond grateful to have ditched cotton clothing (and the machine gun and mortar rounds). Now, it’s all about staying light and mobile, and having fun in the backcountry.
All three of us are four-season hikers, backpackers, and backcountry campers—ready to share our tips, tricks, and stories to help you embrace winter camping like a pro.

Why the charge?
- You’re more likely to come if you’ve bought a ticket. 😉

We can’t wait to see you there!
