About this Event
This weekend is the Great Backyard Bird Count!
Join me for a bird tour in my "backyard" —and likely some of yours too—Brooklyn Bridge Park!
Starts at 9am and goes until 10:30am. Bring binoculars if you have them.
Registration required.
The recent frigid temperatures have freezing some rare and uncommon ducks to the park. Hopefully some of them will stick around...
we'll also be looking out for duck courtship behaviors for Valentine's Day!
Recently seen species include:
- Hooded Merganser
- American Wigeon
- Red-breasted Merganser
- Greater Scaup
- Bufflehead
- American Kestrel
- and more!
