Registration is required to attend this event as space is limited. Please make sure ALL fields in the registration form are completed and that a confirmation email is received.
Join Golden Eagle Audubon on a trip to a local Great Blue Heron Rookery to observe and photograph the herons preparing for their nesting season. Long lenses are recommended as we will be photographing across the Boise River into the rookery.
We will be walking about three miles round trip on flat terrain along the Boise Green Belt. Paths may be slippery and/or icy depending on the weather.

Accessibility: This event is appropriate for photographers with visual impairment and/or limited mobility, and is wheelchair accessible. About half the trip is along paved paths, and the half is on packed gravel.
Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome!
Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.
Time: 8:30am - 11:00am. Check-in is at 8:20am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time.
: We will meet in the parking lot of Pamela Baker Park at 850 E Fishing Crk Dr in Eagle, which is near the end of E Colchester Dr off of S Eagle Rd. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)
What to Bring: Layers for Weather, closed-toe shoes, binoculars, water, snacks as needed. You may want to bring hand warmers, and Yak-traks if it's icy. No dogs please.
Restroom Availability: Heated restrooms will be available.
Inclement Weather: If there is an unhealthy AQI, steady precipitation forecast, or the trails are not suitable for ethical passage, the trip may be cancelled.
