Wow, 3rd yearly winter folk bal in Guelph! Dance with your friends and community to fun folk dances:
** No partner or experience required
** Dances are non-gendered
** Dance workshop in advance of the live music sets for the folk dance party time!

Schedule:
2:30pm - Doors open
3pm - Intro Dance Workshop
4-6pm - Bal! Folk dance with Live Music.

Feel free to bring a snack for the potluck snack table! Please, nothing that might stain their beautiful maple floor :)
IMPORTANT NOTES:
**Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the Guelph Youth Dance Studio. Please bring non-scuff indoor runners or dance in your socks!
**The outside doors to Guelph Youth Dance Studio must remain locked. Please plan to arrive between 2:30-4pm when there'll be someone to let you in. At 4pm there'll be a number you can text and someone will come down and let you in.
**Remember to bring your own water bottle
**Wear your holiday colours!

Hypnosis Negative - featuring regular at Balfolk in Guelph Alan Mackie, with the amazing Katariina Tirmaste from Estonia on flute. https://hypnosisnegative.com/home . They are Estonian Folk Music Award nominees, and the people's choice winner at the band contest at the big balfolk festival in central France Le Son Continu.
Tangi Ropars - Breton Accordionist with heart shaped glasses. Tangi was a co-founder of Bal Folk Toronto with Emilyn. He grew up playing and dancing at traditional dances in Brittany (the celtic region on the west coast of France).
