7 December will see a day of activities that celebrate slow and conscientious consumerism and community connection. Learn how to make beautiful and cherished gifts literally from old socks with workshops from sustainable textile artists Alice Burnhope and Celia Pym in collaboration with lifestyle brand TOAST hosted by NOW Gallery. A day of artist-led workshops and activities to help you slow down craft up and get your creativity flowing. Greenwich Music School Choir and Loose FM will provide the festive soundtrack to the day.

This December NOW Gallery presents its 2024 Fashion Commission Socks: The Art of Care and Repair by London textile artist Celia Pym.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own socks to mend with materials and workshops available. Pym’s interactive videos and step-by-step guides will help visitors create their own ‘visible mend’ to take home or display in the gallery.
