About this Event
Winter is a wonderful time for internal reflection and conserving and building resources for the upcoming year. Rest during this season is important for revitalizing the Kidneys, our Yin water organs according to Chinese medicine. This period of utmost Yin is a time to slow down, rest, reflect, rejuvenate and connect with Self. For this same reason, many animals hibernate during winter. Even though we’re in the new year according to the Gregorian calendar, it is actually not a time for big changes and resolutions according to the energy of the seasonal shifts. Now is the time to continue resting and building resources for the upcoming new year which coincides with the first blooms of Spring.
In this nourishing workshop we will be harmonizing the Water element and its associated organs, Kidney and Urinary Bladder, to encourage grounding and rest. During this workshop and throughout the remainder of this season, it is important to keep the entire back and neck covered and warm in order to nurture the Qi of the Kidney and Urinary Bladder organ systems.
