Winter 2025 (FRI) ~ The Sleeping Beauty Ballet

The Sleeping Beauty Ballet tells the story of Princess Aurora, who is cursed to sleep for 100 years by the evil fairy Maleficent after the King and Queen forget to invite her to Aurora’s christening.

The curse is softened by the Lilac Fairy, Merryweather, who decrees that Aurora will be awakened by a prince's kiss. Determined to protect Aurora, the three good fairies, Flora, Fauna & Merryweather, vow to protect her, taking her deep into the forest to watch over her as she grows.

Maleficent, however, is smart and lures Princess Aurora to a spinning wheel, where she pricks her finger and falls into a deep sleep. The Prince, found by the good fairies, is brought to the castle where he defeats Maleficent, finds Aurora, and breaks the spell, leading to a grand wedding celebration.
