Join us as we welcome the return of Winos for Rhinos! Graciously hosted by the Wine Collective, come join us for a family-friendly evening benefiting worldwide rhino conservation.The Greater Baltimore Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (GBAAZK) is continuing its twenty-plus years of participating in Bowling for Rhinos (BFR) events, AAZK’s largest annual fundraiser. This event is FREE for all, but will feature a silent auction, raffle and merch table to raise funds for rhino conservation initiatives. Wine, non-alcoholic beverages and food will be available for purchase from the Wine Collective.

GBAAZK has raised more than $60,000 for BFR in the past two decades, contributing towards BFR’s total of more than seven million dollars since its start in 1991!
What does BFR support?
In Kenya, BFR supports the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy where our donations help protect both black and white rhinos and most of the other species native to East Africa.
In Indonesia, BFR supports the remaining Javan Rhinos at Ujung Kulon National Park and Sumatran Rhinos in Bukit Barisal Selatan and Way Kamabas National Parks through the International Rhino Foundation.
BFR also supports Action for Cheetahs in Kenya. Cheetahs share much of the same habitat as rhinos and by working to conserve cheetahs we are also saving rhinos and the countless other species that call that habitat home.

The Greater Baltimore Chapter of AAZK (GBAAZK) is a professional organization of animal care professionals and other interested individuals affiliated with the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore and the National Aquarium. We are a local chapter of the national non-profit American Association of Zoo Keepers, which is a membership association for animals are professionals to exchange information and network with one another.
