VINTAGE BUS AND STEAM TRAIN TRIP - WINE TASTING
This wonderful package gives you return travel on a vintage bus to Wirksworth Station to hop on a steam train for wine tasting session with Amber Valley Wines and with a delicious ploughman’s lunch served during the trip!
Travelling on a vintage bus is great fun. Everyone toots and waves as you go on by. You’ll travel aboard one of our heritage vehicles, affectionately named ‘Walter’, ‘Ethel’ or ‘Ernie’ from our pickups points in Sutton or Kirkby in Ashfield to the home of Ecclesbourne Valley Railway at Wirksworth.
At this point, you’ll transfer from the classic coach to the steam-hauled train. As you ride along the Wirksworth to Duffield line and back, a representative of Amber Valley Wines will give a talk and tasting session allowing you to sample a range of exquisite wines!
And then of course, there’s your lunch onboard! A plentiful ploughman’s platter will be served, with things like delicious thick-cut ham, cheeses, chutneys, pork pie and egg, with salad on the side followed by a dessert of the week!
Having steamed your way through the Derbyshire countryside, all the way to Duffield and back again, your vintage coach will be waiting to take you back to your original pickup point.
