Join us for a fantastic lunch to discover Mount Etna’s stunning wines from cult winery Passopisciaro.
Passopiscario is considered as one of Sicily’s top estates. Founded in 2000 by talented winemaker Andrea Franchetti, who created Super Tuscan legend Tenuta di Trinoro, the winery is a source of exquisite single vineyard wines that reveal immaculate structure and elegance.
Passopisciaro quickly became a cult winery and paved the way towards a cru system in the area which has led to the renaissance of Mount Etna’s wines. The wines have received incredibly high scores and have tremendous aging potential. Medium-bodied and full of character, they are perceived as “Italian Burgundies”. They are made in very tiny quantities, between 2,000 and 4,500 bottles per single vineyard, and are a still under the radar making them particularly attractive to both collectors and investors.
This lunch will take place in our charming garden room at Petersham Nurseries. Your host will take through Passopisciaro’s incredible wines and each will be carefully paired with a delightful menu curated by our executive chefs at The Petersham nurseries.
