About this Event
Join Certified Sommelier Joshua Voytek on an exploration on Rhône style wines from around the world. The Rhône valley in France is known for fantastic full bodied red wines made from a combination of the grapes Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre. The most famous of these is a wine called Chateauneuf du Pape, which comes from vineyards around the city of Avignon. However, various regions outside of France are also beginning to make some fantastic blends with these varietals in a style that emulates the French style, while also providing flavors unique to their terroirs. This class will be about trying examples from both the Rhône Valley and the rest of the world to compare and contrast these wines that are great for the holidays season and winter wine drinking. Whether you are already familiar with Rhône style wines, or are looking for new red wines to appreciate, join us for this fabulous end of year wine class!
