About this Event
Sip, socialize, and sun in a beautiful setting! Escape the city with a refreshing trip to Virginia wineries. At each of our three winery stops, we'll enjoy the scenery, learn a little about the winemaking process, and enjoy a tasting before we settle down to watercolor. An expert watercolor instructor will travel with us and be there to help you as you paint – you can ask them for tips, tricks, demonstrations, and guidance as you work at each location.
This is a small group outing – there will be a maximum of 15 participants, plus two Merry Pin staff members, a watercolor instructor, and a dedicated winery tour ambassador from Vineyard Voyages—a proud, gay-owned company dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for everyone. Our winery ambassador will share insights about the local area, wine history, and wine culture.
Each of our three winery stops have been handpicked by our winery tour ambassador for their scenery, to ensure everyone has beautiful scenes to paint. The entire outing (including transportation to/from) is 8 hours.
Tickets include:
- 8 hour day trip
- Round trip transportation on a luxurious 22-passenger bus (pick-up & drop-off at Merry Pin)
- Entrance to and tastings at three wineries
- Personalized support from the watercolor instructor
- Catered lunch and charcuterie boards (please indicate any dietary needs when registering)
- Winery tour ambassador who will share insights about the local area, wine history, and wine culture
- Travel watercolor kit, complete with watercolor palette, brushes, and watercolor postcards.(but you're welcome to bring your own supplies, too!)
