Brisbane Chamber Project is very proud to present their next project: Wind Song, at 3pm on Sunday 26th April at 3pm, at All Saint’s Anglican Church, Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill. Tickets are available from: https://events.humanitix.com/wind-song? Best to book online please. There will be limited ticketing at the door. Featuring Michal Rosiak, flute; Lisa Holownia, French horn; Riane Wilschut, Clarinet; Sarah Meagher, Oboe; and Katherine Willison, Bassoon.
Wind Song bursts to life a blaze of colour, showcasing the luminous voices of the wind quintet—flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn—and celebrating the spark of Australian creativity and the thrill of new music. At its heart are three world premieres from Brisbane composers, led by Tomasz Holownia’s The Enchanted Horse, a vivid, imaginative journey that sweeps listeners into a world of storytelling through sound.
Sharing the spotlight are two striking new works: Catherine Likhuta’s spirited and playful Once Upon a Seagull, and Airborne, an energetic, soaring display from our own Co‑Director, Michał Rosiak. The program also features music by Ross Edwards, drawn from Incantations, alongside the wildly playful Winter Music – Allegro by UK composer Cecilia McDowall.
Together, these premieres and contemporary gems create a dynamic tapestry of styles that showcases Brisbane Chamber Project’s expressive power and virtuosity. From shimmering delicacy to bold, resonant climaxes, this is an afternoon alive with colour, character, and discovery.
