About this Event
What you can expect:
Sound Baths are so multifaceted in the way they can bring about change and individual healing. They are smooth portals into mindfulness states and meditation, if this is what you are interested in.
Gong baths are also great for relaxation and can lead to spontaneous, cathartic forms of emotional release. They are known to induce alpha and theta brainwave states, which in turn (if coupled with an intention) can lead to vision-based insights or deep forms of self-hypnosis.
On a physical level, the sound vibrations are a very effective in loosening tense (energetic) 'knots'. As human beings, a large percentage of our bodies consist of water* ... with this in mind - this is what happens to water when sound frequencies meet it.
So can you imagine what it feels like and what happens when gong sound meets your body? All I can say is - I still experience the play of the gong as powerful each time. I am not immune to it myself.
At its baseine, no prior concept or belief is required for a soundbath to be effective. Some people just enjoy sound baths to find rest and maybe even fall asleep. That in itself can be refreshingly soothing in a world that can incite overthinking, rushing, doing over being, and a sense of 'time lack'.
What to bring:
- A Yoga mat, or portable form of bedding to comfortably lie on.
- Water to hydrate before and after
- A comfortable pillow and blanket (temperatures tend to drop during the sound bath)
Please note that sound baths are not recommended for people with pacemakers or during the first trimester of pregnancy. If you have questions about the suitability of this event feel free to message me ([email protected])
You will be asked to turn your phone off completely during the sound bath session.
Aftercare:
Taking it easy, resting and slowing down is recommended after.
I particularily recommend an bath for at least 20mins after the gong bath has taken place to further relaxation.
I also offer debriefs and 'change through conversation' sessions for people who would like to explore gong bath-induced reflections, questions or insights after on a deeper level. Just book an 'initial consultation' via my website to get started.
