Willie Dowling & The Invisible Band are playing a headline gig at West Hampstead Arts Club, London on 23 October.The band, consisting of Willie Dowling on vocals and piano, Andy Lewis on bass and Darby Todd on drums, will be performing songs from Willie Dowling’s album The Simpleton, and perhaps a new song or two from the forthcoming album.
Willie Dowling is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer and producer.
His album of piano based songs The Simpleton is available now from Bandcamp.
Over the years, Willie has fronted, written and produced albums for The Dowling Poole, Jackdaw4, Honeycrack and The Grip.
Willie has provided keyboards, guitars bass and vocals, both on studio sessions and live, for a wide variety of artists including Dr Hook, Midge Ure, Hot Chocolate, The Wildhearts, Quireboys, Shane MacGowan, Maroon Town and Andy Taylor.
Additionally, Willie is a renowned composer for film and television in a wide variety of styles and genres, ranging from electro-pop to full orchestral scores, working with and writing for such comedic luminaries as Steve Coogan, Vic & Bob, Lenny Henry, Armstrong & Miller and many, many more.
