In support of their new release, Portland based experimental pianist and composer William Todd welcomes you to join the kick off their tour at MING Studio. Known for blending melancholic piano compositions with analog synthesizer drones, intricate polyrhythms, and evolving tape loops, William crafts deeply moving pieces of music that leave a lasting impression on listeners. William Todd’s work exists at the intersection of classical minimalism and avant-garde composition. Their debut release, Orchids Pass, showcases a cinematic and deeply introspective approach to the piano, while their latest release, Isolette, expands into more experimental territory with added synthesizers and percussion. Their live performances are carefully composed, unfolding with patience and emotional depth, drawing audiences into a world of delicate melodies, intricate rhythms, and hypnotic repetition.
