About this Event

Join Mountaineer and Photographer George Robertson for an evening of tales and photographs from his challenging journey over three weeks, at high altitude, on the Baltoro Glacier in the Karakoram mountains of Northern Pakistan where 4 of the worlds 14 - 8000m peaks lie, including K2, the worlds second highest mountain after Everest. One of the most beautiful and treacherous environments in the world.

George Robertson is an award-winning photographer based in Lennoxtown, with a passion for mountains and wild landscapes. He is also a qualified Mountain Leader and this provides the opportunities to capture images of remote areas around the world in addition to capturing Scotland's wild and rugged landscapes. George has twice won the ‘Urban’ category in the highly esteemed ‘Landscape Photographer of the Year’ 2017 and 2020 awards. In 2024 he won the Mountain Photo of the Year competition. George has also been commended and shortlisted in several other major photography awards.

Join us for an evening of travel stories and adventure as George takes us on a journey to one of the most impressive mountain ranges in the world.
