About this Event

Join Mountaineer and Photographer George Robertson for an evening of tales from his incredible travels to base camp of the worlds tallest mountain , Mount Everest. The talk takes us from hustle of Kathmandu to the peaceful Khumbu valley, home of the Sherpa people, and the main route to Everest. We will explore the people, villages, monasteries in the valley and climbs mountain peaks on our way to Everest Base Camp.

George Robertson is an award-winning photographer based in Lennoxtown, with a passion for mountains and wild landscapes. He is also a qualified Mountain Leader and this provides the opportunities to capture images of remote areas around the world in addition to capturing Scotland's wild and rugged landscapes.
